Thanks Douglas Nielsen of the Las Vegas Review-Journal for the article on Spintech Hooks. Here’s a quote from the article: “Have you had one of those days when the fish are hitting your bait but you just can’t seem to land one? Chances are the near misses have a lot to do with your terminal tackle, especially the hook at the end of your line…The second new hook design that showed promise is the Spintech hook by Basstar. Spintech hooks look like any other treble hooks you have dangling from your favorite lures, but these, as their name implies, spin 360 degrees and do so without binding. The three barbs are fastened to a tube through which the straight hook shank passes. That tube, in turn, spins around the shank or “line tie pin.”

Another Tournament winner using Spintech Hooks

On behalf of the Connecticut Bass Federation Nation and myself. Thank you for sending us a Superior product. I used these hooks on my Lucky Craft Crank bait this weekend Aug. 15,2010 in the Final Federation Tournament on the CT. River. I won the event with 12.22 lbs and never lost a fish. These hooks are a great asset to any fisherman. With the amount of Topwaters and crankbaits I have I will need to do a lot of replacing. As one of the Top anglers in CT I will definitely spread the word.

I just wanted to thank you for the spintech hooks you supplied the 2010 Ct Bass Federation State Team, I used the hooks today & I did not lose one fish. Normally I would lose about 3 or 4 per fishing trip. This hook could really increase your chances for winning more Tournaments!!!!

DREDGER Chartreuse Blue Back Available Now!!!

Basstar introduces the worlds first infinite diving crankbait, Dredger comes equipped with a built in rotating hook system for both the belly and tail hook along with the golf ball dimples on the body for a different reflection underwater. What makes the DREDGER different from other deep diving crankbaits in the market is that we have figured out a way to internally and externally balance the weight so that the bait will dive straight down to any preferred depth. The Dredger will dive straight down with no spiraling or line twists. Once the Dredger reaches its depth the bait will stand straight up keeping the hooks away from the bottom reducing chances of hang up. Unlike traditional crankbaits where the bait will only reach its target depth zone for a short time, The Dredger will dive to its target depth from where the bait lands and stay in the zone all the way back for the full retrieve. The Dredger has a fall rate that is equivalent to a jig, which means you can now throw this bait next to boat docks and pilings and watch the bait fall perfectly parallel to its target.
