New Bass Record a Tie!!

The IGFA announced its decision today. The 22 pound, 4.97 ounce largemouth caught in Japan by Manabu Kurita will be shown as a tie. George Perry’s bass that held the record for over 75 years will be considered a tie although it weighed 22 pounds, 4 ounces. The IGFA requires a new record be beat by two ounces to be considered as breaking the old record.

This rule may not make sense, but the reason is scales are much more accurate now than in the past, and most scales in the past were spring loaded and showed pounds and ounces, not tenths and hundredths of ounces and pounds. So it is possible George Perry’s bass weighed as much as Manabu Kurita since the weight was probably rounded off to the nearest ounce.

Bone White Prop Runner

Ive been doing alot of fishing and Ive been doing alot of catching with the prop runner. I have attached a picture of the biggest bass of the season for me and it was caught on your 6in prop runner the bone color. These are great baits and they have been working so well for me. Its stirring up out here and people are talking about BasStar quite a bit!

Basstar Baits Prop Jr. Chartreuse Shad

I fished the Havasu National Bass Team Championship with my wife Carissa last weekend. Even though we didnt fair too well in the tournament we had a good time and I wanted to share a picture with you of my wife holding a 5 lb smallmouth bass she caught on the Prop Jr. (Chartreuse Shad) This is her biggest smallmouth ever…she was very happy she caught that smallie using one of your baits. We look forward to throwing the baits in the coming season…
